Stories of the people who make the Mornington Peninsula.

We visit local businesses, meet the people behind them, and share the stories worth remembering.

This Week's Dispatch
Issue No. 1 · In preparation

Our first dispatch is being prepared.

We're out on the Peninsula right now, meeting the people behind some of its most interesting local businesses — the makers, growers, tradespeople and shopkeepers whose stories deserve to be remembered.

Why Story Dispatch Exists
We look beyond the shopfront
The business is the setting. The person is the story.

Businesses are usually described by what they sell. We're interested in the people behind them — why they began, what they've sacrificed, what they believe in, and why they keep showing up.

The third-generation baker who wouldn't sell to a chain. The corporate escapee now growing strawberries. The mechanic who's looked after the same families for thirty years. Every shopfront on the Peninsula has a person behind it, and most of those people have never had their story told properly.

Story Dispatch exists to discover and preserve those stories — the ones that make the Mornington Peninsula a better place to live.

The Publishing Desk
Some businesses ask us to help them keep telling their story

Reach isn't revenue. Recognition isn't a publishing system.

Your story shouldn't disappear between posts. The Story Dispatch Publishing Desk helps a small number of businesses publish consistently, in their own voice — everything drafted for you, nothing published without your nod.

Editorial policy

Editorial features cannot be purchased.

Businesses featured by Story Dispatch are chosen because we believe their stories are worth sharing. Publishing Desk clients pay for work made for their own channels — never for coverage in the publication. That line is what makes the publication worth trusting.
